AEI-Open Windows and Eyes of the Youngsters
According to
the
strategic planning for the coming three years.
The AEI-Open Windows has been establishing
relations with several local organizations.
"Eyes of the Youngsters" which is located at Al
Doha –town next to Beit Jala- Louis Bohte, a
Franciscan Brother, is the Director of that youth house. He paid
us a visit to establish forms of cooperation.
Both organizations introduced their visions and
fields of work, searching for common grounds.
On Saturday 10th
December 2005, the General Director Mr. Fuad
Giacaman along with his assistant and other two
youths from the University youth group, paid a
visit to the "Eyes of the Youngster" center so
as to have a more focused ideas of cooperation.
At the end of the meeting we realized that there
are two main ideas that we could establish;
1.
"Christian and Moslem Living Together": Since
the Eyes of the Youngsters center has been
facing lots of prejudgments concerning the
vision of the center. The citizens of the Al
Doha thought that the aim of the center was to
evangelize the people, all of the beneficiaries
of the center are Moslems, also they do not know
much about the Christians of Palestine
2. "English
Communication Skills" courses: Both
organizations felt the need for improving the
English communication skills of employees and
the beneficiaries of the center in order to be
able to communicate Palestine, the reality
resulting from the Israeli occupation repressive
measures and the future brigt dreams of the
youth.
