Youth and Non-violence
A youth group from
the AEI-Open Windows between the 23rd
April and the 1st May
2006; Shireen Khamis, Sami Mura,
Fatin Sleibi, Milad Voskeritchian,
Anton Murra and Fuad Giacaman have
participated in an intercultural
seminar at La Boris –L'Arche
Community near Montpellier/ France.

The title of the
seminar was "Youth and Non-violent
Education". During this program
Fuad and Anton presented the
AEI-Open Windows mission, aims,
objectives, projects and activities;
in addition they gave training
sessions to the other youths from
other countries. The project aimed
at formation for youth trainees so
as to participate in international
exchanges in youth programs. The
participants prepared themselves for
a youth camp for young adults in
summer.

The second encounter
took place between 1st
and 4th May 2006 in
Lyons. Mr. Fuad Giacaman attended an
intercultural seminar at the
invitation of the French
organization "Maan" (Movement pour
une Alternative Non-violence". The
seminar aimed at planning and
organizing a summer youth camp
nearby Lyon for the formation of
youth non-violent education.

Mr. Giacaman has also
given two presentations in front of
an audience interested to know about
the AEI projects and activities in
the fields of non-violence peace
building, culture, identity and
value, media and communication. Mr.
Fuad has also answered many
questions related to the Israeli
occupation practices and the present
political and economic pressures
facing our people because of
practicing free democratic elections
and electing a new government.
