intercultural youth exchange in
Lyon/ Paris
The Palestinian and Israeli curricula:
During the past half year, AEI-Open Windows and
the YMCA-East-Jerusalem desk cooperated in a
joint project to raise discussion about the
representation of the Palestinian identity and
reality in the Palestinian and Israeli
curriculum.
Youth and Non-violence
A youth group from the AEI-Open Windows between
the 23rd April and the 1st
May 2006; Shireen Khamis, Sami Mura, Fatin
Sleibi, Milad Voskeritchian,
Anton Murra and Fuad Giacaman have participated
in an intercultural seminar at La Boris –L'Arche
Community near Montpellier/ France.

Germany held a conference in Amman.

participated in the WCC 9th
Assembly in Brazil/ Porto Alegre. About 13
youths and 4 adults participated in
this assembly.

participated in an intercultural
exchange project in France/ Paris.
There were participants from France,
Greece, Israel and Palestine, both
youth and adults.

in the second Arab Oriental youth
meeting organized by the Arab
Women’s Media Center in Amman which
took place at Al-Quds Milia Hotel.

Pax Christi International, with the
assistance of the Prague-based Pontes
Institute, organised the first seminar of the
project "Promoting Exchange between NGOs, media
and researchers from the Middle East and new EU
member states" in Prague, Czech Republic.

Participation in the Legislative Elections
Information package based on the lecture of
Osama Zughbi on 19th of January 2006,The
Elections on January 25, 2006 The Palestinian Legislative
Council (PLC) represents the people of Palestine
and is therefore in its function equivalent to
the parliament of every other country. It
consists of 132 members and has its seat in
Ramallah. Its tasks are to create the
Palestinian laws and to control the
implementation of them.
