Marinus van Nistelrooij from a Volunteer to a
Friend

The Arab Educational Institute has successfully
been able to develop friendly relations with the
volunteers it receives. For instance, Mr.
Marinus van Nistelrooij, a Dutch volunteer, came with a
solidarity and peace pilgrim in 2006 and as a
volunteer of arts in the AEI - Summer School of
Communication in 2007. Furthermore, in May 1st
2008 he came along with his two daughters; Femke
and Inge. Mr. Marinus is an artist and he drew
paintings about the daily life realities of the
Palestinian people in a book while he was in
Bethlehem in his previous visits e. On
Wednesday, May 7th, 2008, and during
a festive ceremony in the AEI women's group
meeting, Mr. Marinus gave his book to the Arab
Educational Institute as a gift. This book will
hopefully be published as part of the AEI series
of publications entitled "Culture and
Palestine".
