On Thursday evening May 22, during the Euro-Mediterranean “dialogue night” organized by the Anna Lindh Foundation, AEI opened the exhibit “Moslem and Christian Stories of Hope” in the Sumud Peace House near Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem.

On Thursday evening May 22, directly outside the sumud house, there was a rehearsal of the “Living Clock” in which a circle of Palestinians and internationals carried 60 torches symbolizing the numbers of a 60-year Naqba “clock”.

Mr. Marinus van Nistelrooij, a Dutch volunteer, came with a solidarity and peace pilgrim in 2006 and as a volunteer of arts in the AEI - Summer School of Communication in 2007. Furthermore, in May 1st 2008 he came along with his two daughters to develop a friendly relations.

Mr. Milad Vosgueritchian represented the Arab Educational Institute – Open windows, in a seminar on April 5th 2008, entitled " The tale: A heritage for tomorrow & the role of libraries" at Bethlehem University. This seminar was organized by, COBIAC and Al Rowad Center.

German Students from a Catholic College (Katholische Hochschulgemeinde in Karlsruhe) visited Bethlehem City. The program was full of meetings and visits to Caritas hospital, the AEI Sumud Peace house and other places.
