Ramadan Social Activity
AEI University and Post Graduates Youths groups

Place: Golden Park Resort
On Thursday the 27th September 2007, the AEI Youth Management Team met to organize a socio-cultural activity for their fellow university and the postgraduates youth groups. Samia Shahin, Manar Wahhab and Ala' Zboun from the post graduates youth group, and Imad Sleibi and Mohammed Shalan from University youth group). They sat the day before and set the plan of activities for this event. The thought that the main aim of this even is to make the youth interact with one another and build stronger friendly ties among the youths, to strengthen the value of Christian-Moslem Living Together, and of course, to have fun. Therefore, the youth management team arranged a variety of fun activities and ice-breaking games.

On Friday the 28th September 2007, the youths met at the AEI Youth House around 16:30. A bus was waiting to pick them up and take them down to Beit Sahour at the Golden Park Resort. Mrs. Samia started with our first ice-breaking game entitled "Sharing of Good and Bad Experiences". Youths enjoyed that game because it was a kind of trust building activity, and a step forward to sharing personal feelings in front of others. One said: "I have met people I haven't seen before, and I enjoyed the chatting and the laughter".

It was already 17:45, when the time for Iftar starts. Christian and Moslem youths gathered in the dining hall. Mr. Milad made a prayer in Christianity for food and so did Ala' made a prayer in Islam for food. The food was delicious and all enjoyed it as Mr. Ahmad said: "the most beautiful moments were before the Iftar meal started when Christians shared the prayers of the Moslems before the Iftar meal. This strengthens the respect of the other". Later Mr. Nubar – a postgraduate's member- played the Organ, and added a new taste with the lovely oriental music that made the gathering so relaxing and enjoyable.

Later, we resumed with the activities and games. The youth enjoyed their time so much, and were impressed by the good organization, and all suggested to have such events on monthly basis.  One recommended "I was impressed with the organization regarding, transportation, food, and the activities. I hope we can have such activities so often"
