meet as a tradition every year to pray
together on the anniversary of the
International Day of Prayer for Peace during
the Holy Month of Ramadan. We call upon the
Almighty God to plant in our hearts and
minds more love, faith, patience, sumud
(steadfastness) and unity. These values we
need so as to be able to confront the
challenges of globalization and pressures
resulting from the repressive practices of
occupation, such as the expropriation of
lands, the Judaization of our holy beloved
Jerusalem, the demolition of houses, the
construction of settlements and the
Separation Wall. We raise our prayers so as
our only God will strengthen our faith, our
Muslim-Christian living together and our
national unity.
