Non-Violent Activity
All in Peace
Seminar
On the 1st of July on Sunday we gathered at 8:30 at the
premises of the AEI – Open Windows to go to
Talitha Qumi /Beit Jala to participate in All in
Peace meeting. When All in Peace educational
tool box was introduced, Mr. Fuad Giacaman
started the program with a welcome word. The
Japanese embassy representative was absent so
Mr. Amos said a word on behalf of the Japanese
representative of their participation. Then all
the participants heard the evaluation of All in
Peace by Dr. Walid Mustafa - Dean of Arts,
Bethlehem University. After that, two of our
young girls gave testimonies, Daisy Giacaman and
Deema Awwad. Mr. Musa Subeh shared his
experience as a youth leader in 2003 at Delphi.
Amos & Eyal gave a powerpoint presentation
about All in Peace educational tool Box and
described how it is used. We ended the program
with a delicious lunch together with All in
Peace group at Talitha Qumi School / Beit Jala.
My impacts as a human and then as employee at AEI in "All in Peace
project":- Children
from all over the world together from different
regions of conflict met to revive the ancient
Olympic truce " Ekecharia" as a means
for sustainable peace is so important because it
deals with mind, heart, body, and soul. The
project aims to spread the concept of peace
cooperation and sharing so as to prevent the
promoting of the concept of violence and
aggression. It seeks to create change and
transformation in children not by lecturing but
through music, sport and art. It is not a matter
of competition, who jumps higher, who arrives
first, or who has beautiful voice and performs
better, but we need to make everybody share and
enjoy the group creativity with hearts and
souls. I also want to share my personal
experience with Ameen the sport teacher
yesterday when he was teaching us new ways of
communication, trust, responsibility and
teamwork through sports and movements. For me in
All in Peace all are winners and they will
hammer their sword into plowshares, and their
spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift
up sword against nation, and never again will
they learn war. (ISAIAH1: 2 – 4).
