Living in the Holy Land: Respecting Differences

Jericho Fieldtrip

The theme of the Fieldtrip: the concept of Diversity in the Palestinian Document of Independence

The Fieldtrip Path: Visit to Hijla monastery, and the Monument of Prophet Moses in the wilderness and the valley of Jericho. In addition, a workshop was held in the garden of the Green Valley Restaurant, a free tour in the city of Jericho. Finally, return to Ramallah and Bethlehem.

The Participants: Responding to the recommendation of the participating schools, involving all students of the participating classrooms in the program, AEI-Open Windows decided in this semester to organize two of trips: the first on 15/11/2007 and the second on 30/11/2007. In the first fieldtrip, 111 students, 12 teachers, and 4 school principals participated in the first fieldtrip. The participating schools were the Evangelical Lutheran School and St. George Greek Orthodox School and Latin School from the Ramallah area, and the Good Shepherd School, Lutheran School and the AEI High School Youth Group from Bethlehem area.
